ZFP L430 PB Double-Sided Landscape Laminator
HIGH-SPEED DOUBLE-SIDED B1 LANDSCAPE LAMINATION, PALLET TO PALLET AS STANDARD
The ZFP L430 PB is the double-sided landscape version of the high-speed B1 machine in the ZFP line: a complete automatic laminating line of pallet feeder, two independent laminating units, separator, and automatic stacker, taking B1 sheets long edge first. Both faces of the sheet are finished against a chrome-plated cylinder in a single pass at up to 197 feet per minute, with each laminating unit applying six tons of pressure and lamination running in line with the printing direction whichever way the job was imposed. ZFP has more than two decades of industrial lamination experience, and every machine is designed, machined, and assembled in-house at its factory in Poland.
The L430 PB laminates offset and digital print with gloss, matte, and soft-touch OPP thermal films on stocks from 115 to 600 gsm, and runs single-sided jobs on the same line between double-sided work. Feeding is servo driven and synchronized with the front lays, the laminating cylinders are large-diameter units with electromagnetic brakes, and laminate perforation is controlled independently for each web. With the pallet feeder and independently controlled automatic stacker both standard, the line runs pallet to pallet without add-ons.
The L430 PB is sold and supported in the United States and Canada by Supply55, Inc. Machines, wear parts, installation, operator training, and service are all handled by Supply55.
HOW THE L430 PB RUNS
Load the pallet and set the film; the line feeds, laminates both faces, separates, and stacks back onto a pallet.
Two Laminating Units, Six Tons Each
The L430 PB runs the sheet through two independent laminating units in one continuous line, finishing the top and bottom faces in a single pass, with the B1 sheet fed long edge first. Each unit runs a large-diameter chrome-plated cylinder with an electromagnetic brake, heated by electric band heaters under precise control, with pneumatically adjusted rollers applying six tons of laminating pressure.
- Each face is laminated against a chrome-plated cylinder, so both sides carry the same surface, and double-sided jobs run once with no second run and no flipping stacks between them.
- The same line runs single-sided jobs between double-sided work, with the decurl bar working in single-sided mode.
Separation at Full Speed, Independent for Each Web
Sheets overlap through the laminating units and come off as a continuous laminated stream, and separation runs at full production speed through laminate perforation controlled independently for each web and an asymmetrically closing roller system. At up to 197 feet per minute, laminated B1 work reaches the stacker ready for cutting, folding, or packing, with no hand separation.
- Perforating each laminate web on its own control is what keeps separation clean when film runs top and bottom.
- The large cylinder diameter is matched to the line speed, so the film sees consistent heat and pressure at 197 feet per minute.
A Modular Line With Open Access
Each section of the line is built as an independent module with its own operator panel, connected by automatic conveyors. Open access to every module matters on a line this length running film top and bottom: setup, film threading, and routine maintenance happen at the module rather than around it, and the laminator and stacker each run on their own touchscreen so the exit end is managed without walking back to the feed end.
Pallet to Pallet as Standard
The pallet feeder and the independently controlled automatic stacker are both standard equipment, so the L430 PB runs pallet to pallet without add-ons. The servo-driven feed head is synchronized with the front lays for stable sheet positioning before alignment, lifts sheets with four suction points, and the pallet lowers to floor level so B1 stock loads without raising lifts overhead.
- Optional side lays add a second axis of sheet alignment at the feeder.
Digital Foiling
With the optional foiling rewinder, the L430 PB applies digital foil over toner in the same pass architecture it uses for lamination. Print the areas to be foiled, then run the sheet with foil in place of laminating film.
Standalone Operation
Touchscreen control on separate panels for the laminator and stacker, and fully standalone operation: no network integration or external data exchange is required to run the line. Industry 4.0 connectivity is available as an option for shops that want it.
