ZFP L430 ST Landscape Sheet-Fed Laminator

HIGH-SPEED B1 LANDSCAPE LAMINATION, PALLET TO PALLET AS STANDARD

41.3" x 41.3"WORKING AREA
197 ft/minLAMINATING SPEED
Long Edge FirstB1 LANDSCAPE FEED
Pallet to PalletSTANDARD

The ZFP L430 ST is the landscape version of the high-speed B1 machine in the ZFP line: a complete automatic laminating line of pallet feeder, laminator, separator, and automatic stacker, with a 41.3" x 41.3" working area that takes B1 sheets long edge first and square sheets up to 41.3 inches. Feeding crosswise lets the machine laminate in line with the printing direction whatever way the job was imposed. ZFP has more than two decades of industrial lamination experience, and every machine is designed, machined, and assembled in-house at its factory in Poland.

The L430 ST laminates offset and digital print with gloss, matte, and soft-touch OPP thermal films at up to 197 feet per minute, on stocks from 115 to 600 gsm, with servo-driven feeding synchronized with the front lays, a large-diameter laminating cylinder, and six tons of pressure at the laminating rollers. Jobs imposed with different grain directions run on one machine, and with the pallet feeder and independently controlled automatic stacker both standard, the line runs pallet to pallet without add-ons.

The L430 ST is sold and supported in the United States and Canada by Supply55, Inc. Machines, wear parts, installation, operator training, and service are all handled by Supply55.

HOW THE L430 ST RUNS

Load the pallet and set the film; the line feeds, laminates, separates, and stacks back onto a pallet.

Built Around the Print Direction

The working area is 41.3" x 41.3", so a B1 sheet feeds long edge first and laminates in line with the printing direction whichever way the job was imposed, and square sheets up to 41.3 inches run on the same machine.

  • Jobs imposed with different grain directions run on one machine without re-imposing.
  • Long-edge feeding sends the shorter dimension through the nip, so B1 jobs clear the machine faster.

Six Tons of Pressure at 197 Feet per Minute

The laminating cylinder is a large-diameter chrome-plated steel cylinder with an electromagnetic brake, heated by electric band heaters under precise control, and the pneumatically adjusted rollers apply six tons of laminating pressure. Sheets overlap on the cylinder and come off as a continuous laminated stream, and separation runs at full production speed through a laminate perforator and an asymmetrically closing roller system, so laminated B1 work reaches the stacker ready for cutting, folding, or packing with no hand separation.

  • An adjustable decurl bar flattens sheets after lamination.
  • The large cylinder diameter is matched to the line speed, so the film sees consistent heat and pressure at 197 feet per minute.

Pallet to Pallet as Standard

The pallet feeder and the independently controlled automatic stacker are both standard equipment, so the L430 ST runs pallet to pallet without add-ons. The servo-driven feed head is synchronized with the front lays for stable sheet positioning before alignment, lifts sheets with four suction points, and the pallet lowers to floor level so B1 stock loads without raising lifts overhead.

  • Optional side lays add a second axis of sheet alignment at the feeder.
  • Laminator and stacker each run on their own touchscreen panel, so the exit end is managed without walking back to the feed end.

Digital Foiling

With the optional foiling rewinder, the L430 ST applies digital foil over toner in the same pass architecture it uses for lamination. Print the areas to be foiled, then run the sheet with foil in place of laminating film.

Standalone Operation

Touchscreen control on separate panels for the laminator and stacker, and fully standalone operation: no network integration or external data exchange is required to run the line. Industry 4.0 connectivity is available as an option for shops that want it.

OPTIONS FOR THE L430 ST

Foiling rewinder - Adds digital foiling, so the machine applies metallic foil over toner as well as laminating film.

Lower rewinder - Assists with lamination of thin sheets.

Pneumatic film unwinding shafts - Speed up film roll changes at the unwind.

Side lays - Adds side registration alongside the standard front lays.

Side knife - Trims film at the sheet edge in line.

Water cooling module - Adds water cooling to the line.

Deionising bar and nozzle - Controls static on digital stock before it reaches the nip.

Industry 4.0 connectivity - Optional network integration; as standard the line runs fully standalone with no network or external data exchange required.
