ZFP automatic sheet-fed laminators combine automatic top-suction sheet feeding, overlapped thermal lamination, and in-line sheet separation in one continuous production line, run by a single operator from pallet to pallet. ZFP has more than two decades of industrial lamination experience, and every machine is designed, machined, and assembled in-house at its factory in Poland.
ZFP systems laminate digital and offset print with gloss, matte, and soft-touch OPP thermal films in single-sided, double-sided, and hermetic encapsulation configurations, and every series supports digital foiling and sleeking for embellished output. L100 ST automatic B3 laminator
B3 / 13" x 19" Digital Format
L100 SERIES
The L100 is a compact, fully automatic laminating line sized for digital press output, handling sheets up to 14.6" x 21.3". If your shop runs 13" x 19" sheets on a digital press and sends lamination out to a trade finisher, the L100 brings that work in-house with automatic feeding, an on-the-run adjustable decurl bar, and in-line separation in a footprint of just over 6 feet. An extended feeder option handles sheets up to 29.1" in length on the same compact platform, sized for book covers, case wraps, and other long-sheet work. Three machines:
- L100 ST is the standard machine: single-sided lamination with burst separation, laminating roughly 1,800 sheets per hour.
- L100 FK trades burst separation for a flying knife, which cuts laminated sheets apart in motion. It runs slower than ST, and in exchange it handles the OPP, nylon, and polyester films that cannot be burst cleanly.
- L100 PB is the photo book machine: two laminating stations in one frame, finishing both faces of the sheet to the same quality in a single pass.
B2 Format
L200 SERIES
The L200 is the standard B2 machine in the line, built for publishers and commercial printers running mixed digital and offset work. It laminates sheets up to 21.3" x 29.1", with an optional pallet feeding device for longer runs, an on-the-run adjustable decurl bar, and extended feeder options for sheets over 39" in length. The same three configurations as the L100, plus one more:
- L200 ST runs at up to 66 feet per minute, a factory-rated 1,600 B2 sheets per hour, single-sided with burst separation.
- L200 FK for films that resist bursting.
- L200 PB for photo-grade double-sided work.
- L200 EL is the embossing line: single-sided lamination with an in-line embossing station that adds linen, leather, and other textured finishes in the same pass.

B2 High Performance
L210 SERIES
The L210 is the higher-specification B2 platform, for shops where the laminator runs all shift. An oil-filled heating cylinder holds laminating temperature steady through long runs and heavy stocks to 600 gsm, a standard pallet feeder keeps it loaded, and the decurl bar adjusts on the run. Two machines, plus the DUO separation option:
- L210 ST laminates single-sided with burst separation at up to 115 feet per minute, roughly 2,800 B2 sheets per hour.
- L210 DS is the double-sided machine. Where a PB machine finishes both faces against a polished cylinder through two stations, DS runs both faces through one station, the top against the chrome-plated laminating cylinder, the bottom against the rubber pressure roller. It is the economical choice for industrial double-sided work such as packaging inserts, where the bottom face does not need a photo-grade surface.
- The DUO separator system is available on this platform: it combines burst and flying knife separation in one machine, running full-speed burst on standard films and switching to the knife for films that resist bursting, so one machine covers both the standard films and the ones that will not burst.
B2 Encapsulation
L270 SERIES
L270 EC is a fully automatic industrial encapsulating machine for trade finishers and production operations running sealed-edge work in volume. It laminates both sides of the sheet in a single pass and forms a rigid sealed margin around the edges, fully enclosing the print in film. Hermetic encapsulation protects work that gets handled hard or exposed to moisture, including menus, maps, instruction cards, POS materials, tags, and reference sheets.
Because encapsulation runs stronger, thicker films than standard lamination, the L270 EC separates sheets with an in-line guillotine cutter, buffered from the laminating section, delivering clean cut edges on film that no burst or knife system could separate. It handles B2 sheets up to 21.3" x 29.1" at up to 82 feet per minute, roughly 1,900 encapsulated sheets per hour, with an on-the-run adjustable decurl bar, extended feeder options for sheets over 39" in length, and an optional foiling rewinder.
L310 LS landscape B2 laminator
B2 Landscape / 29" Square
L310 SERIES
L310 LS feeds a B2 sheet long edge first, with a landscape width that also takes square formats up to 29.1" x 29.1", so square work runs in a single pass. Long-edge feeding sends the shorter dimension through the nip, so B2 jobs clear the machine faster. And because a sheet can feed in either orientation, you can always run the grain the direction that laminates flat, whatever the imposition, so sheets come off flat and go straight into cutting and folding.
An oil-filled heating cylinder, sized to the full landscape width, holds even temperature edge to edge across the wide sheet. It handles sheets up to 29.1" x 29.5" at 115 feet per minute on stocks to 400 gsm and ships standard with a floor-level pallet feeding table, with an automatic stacker and digital foiling rewinder available.
B1 Format & 41" Landscape
L300, L320, L330, L420 & L430 SERIES
Full-size automatic lamination for 40" press rooms, laminating sheets up to 29.9" x 41.3", with an on-the-run adjustable decurl bar, and the DUO separator system available on the L320. The L300 is single-sided; the L320, L330, L420, and L430 each come as a standard or photo book machine:
- L300 ST is the entry into full-size lamination, running B1 sheets at 115 feet per minute on stocks to 600 gsm with an oil-filled heating cylinder and burst separation. It ships with a floor-level drop feeder table as standard and takes a pallet feeder as an option. It is the compact machine in the B1 group.
- L320 ST runs at 131 feet per minute, about 2,200 B1 sheets per hour, in a compact open-sided frame that puts the feeder controls and pressure roller within easy reach, and it is available with the DUO separator system. L320 PB is the twin-station double-sided version.
- L330 ST is the highest-output machine in the line, running up to 197 feet per minute, roughly 3,400 B1 sheets per hour, with 6-ton roller pressure, synchronized feed head and front lays, a large-diameter cylinder, and full pallet-to-pallet automation for high-volume offset production. L330 PB is its double-sided counterpart.
- L420 ST and L430 ST are the 41" landscape machines, at 131 and 197 feet per minute, respectively. Wide enough to feed a full B1 sheet long edge first, they laminate square formats up to 41.3" x 41.3" so a B1 sheet can be laminated in either orientation. Both are also available as PB.

Specialized Systems & Capabilities
In addition to standard single- and double-sided lamination, ZFP builds specialized machines and in-line stations for cold mounting, encapsulation, embossing, and roll-to-roll conversion.
L260 KC is an automatic mounting adhesive applicator and cold laminating line. It applies adhesive film from a roll and cold-laminates paper, board, and plastics with multilayer, polyester, nylon, and metalized laminates that cannot be run on a thermal machine. Its patented kiss-cut separation head scores only the surface layers of the laminate, so multilayer and non-burstable materials separate into clean single sheets without damaging the leading edge, and a patented guide ramp holds separation accuracy at speed. The L260 KC handles B2 sheets up to 21.3" x 29.1" at up to 66 feet per minute on stocks from 115 to 600 gsm, with an energy-saving pre-heat system, pneumatic roller pressure control, and extended feeder options.
Embossing (L200 EL) adds an in-line embossing station to the standard laminator, pressing linen, leather, and other textured finishes into the sheet in the same pass as lamination.
Roll-to-Roll - For work that runs off a roll rather than in cut sheets, ZFP builds a dedicated compact roll-to-roll laminator, designed for web material rather than a sheet-fed machine adapted to run it. It threads and runs more simply than a sheet-fed conversion, and the construction scales across the model range, from the compact format up to the larger widths, so roll-to-roll capability can be matched to the same formats as the sheet-fed line.

ZFP ENGINEERING
Lamination quality depends on heat control, sheet handling, and separation. ZFP builds all three to hold up under continuous, all-shift production.
Engineered Heat Control
On every ZFP platform, the temperature sensor sits inside the laminating zone rather than at the cylinder edge, so the machine controls the heat the film actually sees. From there, each platform gets the heating system its format and duty cycle call for: a chrome-plated steel cylinder on the compact B3 platform, zone-controlled heating on the wide B1 platforms (and as a B2 option) to hold even temperature across the full working width with no edge overheating on narrow sheets, and oil-filled cylinders on the high-performance B2 platforms for maximum stability under continuous load.
High Thermal Mass Cylinder
ZFP machines use a thick-wall laminating cylinder. The added thermal mass acts as a natural temperature stabilizer, holding consistent laminating temperature through long runs, heavy stocks, and back-to-back jobs instead of chasing setpoint as sheets pull heat out of the nip. Cylinder diameter is calculated to each model's working speed and heat input, because a larger cylinder only improves lamination when the heating system behind it is matched to the speed it runs.
Top-Feed Suction Head, Standard
Every ZFP automatic laminator ships with a movable top-rear suction feed head as standard equipment. Sheets feed from the top of the pile with overlap accuracy within ±2 mm and no sheet-to-sheet dragging, which matters on digital prints where toner and coatings scratch easily. The feed head adapts to machine speed, so feed rate keeps up with the laminating speed.
Floor-Level Pallet Loading
The pallet-loading table lowers to floor level, so a full pallet of sheets goes in with a pallet jack instead of being loaded lift by lift onto a raised table. Optional on the L200, standard on larger machines.
PB vs Double-Sided Lamination
Both PB and double-sided machines laminate two sides, but not the same way. A PB (photo book) machine runs the sheet through two laminating stations, so both faces are finished against a polished chrome-plated cylinder, giving identical photo-grade surfaces for photo books and premium work. A double-sided machine does it in one station, the top face against the chrome-plated laminating cylinder and the bottom against the rubber pressure roller, the economical choice for industrial two-sided work like packaging inserts, where the bottom face does not need a photo-grade surface.
Sheet Separation
ZFP matches the separation method to the film. Standard thermal films are burst apart by a perforating wheel at full production speed. Films that resist bursting, including OPP, nylon, and polyester, are cut in motion by a servo-driven flying knife, and the DUO system carries both in one machine. Heavier sealed-edge encapsulation films run a dedicated in-line guillotine for clean cut edges.

ST
Standard - Single-sided lamination with burst separation, at the machine’s full rated speed. The base configuration in each series.
FK
Flying Knife - A servo-driven blade cuts sheets apart in motion instead of bursting them, for the OPP, nylon, and polyester films that will not burst cleanly. It runs slower than ST.
DUO
Burst + Flying Knife - Both separators in one machine: full-speed burst on standard films, the knife for those that resist it. Ordered as an option on the L210 and L320 platforms, such as an L210 ST with DUO separation.
PB
Photo Book - Double-sided through two laminating stations, so both faces are finished against a polished chrome-plated cylinder. Identical photo-grade surfaces on both sides, for photo books and premium work.
DS
Double-Sided - Double-sided through one station: the top face runs against the chrome-plated laminating cylinder, the bottom against the rubber pressure roller. The economical choice where the bottom face does not need a photo-grade surface, such as packaging inserts.
